The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in Beijing hosted a special event to commemorate the UAE's 53rd National Day, Eid Al Etihad. The event was attended by Shöhret Zakir, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of China's National People's Congress (NPC), along with distinguished Chinese government officials, members of the diplomatic corps, ambassadors of Arab and foreign missions in China, and representatives from the business, media, cultural, and academic sectors.

In his welcoming address, His Excellency Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, UAE Ambassador to China, reflected on the significance of National Day for the Emirati people. He highlighted the nation's remarkable journey of growth, development, and achievement over the past 53 years, crediting its progress to visionary leadership and the dedication of its people in shaping a prosperous and modern country.

"Under the guidance and leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, our nation continues to thrive," said Ambassador Al Hammadi. "As UAE Ambassador to China, I am proud to witness the ongoing strength of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the UAE and China. This year marked the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between our two countries, advancing the deep bonds we share, enabling us to address global challenges together, foster prosperity and security for our citizens, and promote the exchange of knowledge and innovation."

This year's celebration held special significance as it coincided with the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the UAE and China, further emphasizing the historic and growing partnership between the two nations. The event saw wide participation from distinguished officials and diplomats from both countries.

As part of the programme, a specially curated video was presented to celebrate the 53rd National Day, highlighting the UAE's extraordinary achievements across diverse fields. Cultural performances were a highlight of the evening, featuring traditional Emirati and Chinese art and music, reflecting the shared appreciation for cultural heritage and artistic expression in both nations.

A standout moment of the event was the recognition of the winner of the "UAE-China Art Community Competition," held during the UAE-China Friendship Festival to commemorate the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries. Adding to the festive spirit was an engaging raffle draw, which generated excitement among attendees. Guests participated enthusiastically, with prizes reflecting the UAE's hospitality and innovative spirit, making the celebration even more memorable.
