Lishui District posted RMB 9.27 billion in import and export volume from January to October, 2020, representing 111.7% of the city’s target. Lishui ranks first among Nanjing’s districts in both international trade growth and target fulfillment rate. To establish a new development pattern and promote “dual circulation”, Lishui has issued “ten measures” and “ten policies” for supporting the manufacturing industry, companies and entrepreneurs, committed itself to “being responsive to requests without making any unnecessary intervention”, and strived to build an open international platform. Since Nanjing’s first airport bonded logistics center (type B) came into operation in Lishui on May 8, 2020, customs clearance has been less expensive and much more efficient. Furthermore, the joint efforts of Nanjing Air-hub International Expo Center and Jiangsu Baima Agricultural International Expo Centre have entrenched Lishui as a convention and exhibition town rare in the Yangtze River Delta. As an authoritative source put it, Lishui has become a cluster of international trade companies. Among the big names are A. O. Smith, Brembo, and Skyworth.
